There are some sites on internet, where you can check your Steam account statics that Steam won't show.

I stumbled on one of them, and now i write about it and Steam games on general.

How my statistics compares on general public

I have 357 games on my Steam library and 174 games that i haven't played yet.

60 of these unplayed games is actually played, but these games are of Steam. So reduced it from my stats, but it still leaves 114 games that i have not played.

This means that my unplayed games percentage is ~ 31,9 %

But there are many studies on internet about this subject. I want to mention two of them. One is article on Arstechnica.com about Steam and they did some research with statistics and it revealed that 36,9 % of these games were never played.

Kotaku did similar survey for 1400 users and they report that 40 % for games were never played.

Here is my confess to you all.

I did similar research on my Steam statistics on 01/2014 and i get similar results and i did new years promise that i will play all my Steam games before year changes. Even i discarted ~100 games from my list. It still left many games on my list.

I have played only 10 of these games and thanks to summer sale, i added more games to my list that i have played on this year. It dont mean that i haven't got time to play anything, it means that i have played many games that were not on my Steam library.

I have done youtube videos for 23 games that i have got elsewhere. So i estimate that i have player on this 10 month about 40 games from start to end.

It still means that i have played about 4 games / month. But if i want to play all these games in end of the year, it means that i have little over 2 month time. So if i dont want to break my promise, i got still 49 games to play.

So it is safe to say that i cant kept my promise. Ok if i really want, then i play each of them couple of minutes and then move next. But it's kind of cheating and waste of money and time.

What games are on my Steam account playlist. Some of these games were purchased after i made my promise, but still i count them on my promise.
